Beasts of Perdition follows what happens after much of the population was taken by God during the rapture, an event in which saw Heaven closed. Hell thought it was time for them to attack, but they were not expecting ancient Gods to stop them.
It has been eleven years since that fatal battle which saw Portland Maine and much of the world decimated by the war between good and evil. Now the mortals worship the old gods, who are just trying to keep the world safe (well most of them anyway). Hell are biding their time, trying to gain footing to over throw the gods. While the creatures are trying to adapt to the new life where they are no longer in the shadows. With their own personal goals this world is just the battlefield for something a whole lot bigger.
